Análisis de la efectividad de modelos de regresión longitudinales para la gestión de inventarios en empresas en Guayaquil

Resumen

El estudio analizó la efectividad de modelos de regresión longitudinales para la gestión de inventarios en pequeñas y medianas empresas (PYMES) de Guayaquil. Se adoptó un enfoque cuantitativo con diseño longitudinal, y se analizaron datos históricos de ventas de siete PYMES durante el periodo 2013-2023, que se obtuvieron de la Superintendencia de Compañías, Valores y Seguros del Ecuador. Mediante un modelo de regresión lineal en datos de panel, se evaluó el efecto del tiempo (año) y de la empresa sobre las ventas, con el objetivo de identificar patrones que respaldaran la toma de decisiones en la gestión de inventarios. Los resultados mostraron que tanto el año como la empresa tuvieron efectos estadísticamente significativos sobre las ventas. Asimismo, determinadas empresas presentaron coeficientes positivos y significativos en comparación con la categoría de referencia, lo que sugirió un mejor desempeño relativo. Estos hallazgos apoyaron el uso de modelos predictivos como herramienta accesible para optimizar la planificación de inventarios en contextos con recursos limitados.
