Impacto del Síndrome de Tourette en la calidad de vida de adolescentes: una revisión sistemática

Resumen

Introducción: El presente trabajo, sintetiza evidencia reciente sobre el Síndrome de Tourette en adolescentes, enfatizando su impacto en la calidad de vida y la interacción con comorbilidades. Objetivo: Caracterizar prevalencia, curso clínico, comorbilidades y barreras para la atención, y evaluar la eficacia de intervenciones conductuales y farmacológicas. Metodología: Revisión sistemática siguiendo PRISMA de estudios publicados entre 2020–2025 en bases biomédicas, incluyendo RCT, cohortes, revisiones y estudios cualitativos; extracción y síntesis temática de variables clínicas y psicosociales. Resultados: Alta heterogeneidad en prevalencia; comorbilidades (TDAH, TOC, ansiedad) aumentan impacto funcional; evidencia favorable para terapias conductuales y opciones farmacológicas en casos moderados‑severos. Conclusiones: Se requiere abordaje multidisciplinario, mayor acceso a terapias conductuales y políticas escolares inclusivas para mejorar bienestar y participación.
