Gamificación como Estrategia Activa para Mejorar la Fluidez Oral en Estudiantes que Aspiran a un Nivel C1

Este estudio exploró el impacto de la gamificación como estrategia didáctica para mejorar la fluidez oral en estudiantes de inglés como lengua extranjera (EFL, por sus siglas en inglés) que aspiran al nivel C1 en el Centro de Lenguas de la PUCESA, en la ciudad de Ambato, Ecuador. A pesar del nivel avanzado de los estudiantes, los resultados del pre-test evidenciaron un nivel moderado de desempeño en la fluidez oral. Para abordar esta problemática, se empleó un diseño de métodos mixtos que incluyó pre-test y post-test basados en la rúbrica de expresión oral Cambridge C1 Advanced, una encuesta con escala Likert y una entrevista posterior a la intervención. La intervención consistió en actividades de expresión oral diseñadas sistemáticamente durante el semestre e implementadas en cuatro sesiones por dos semanas, bajo un enfoque de gamificación. Los resultados mostraron una mejora estadísticamente significativa en el desempeño de los estudiantes en tareas orales, especialmente en la fluidez oral tras la intervención gamificada. Además, las respuestas de la encuesta evidenciaron altos niveles de compromiso cognitivo, así como mayor participación y confianza. Los hallazgos cualitativos indicaron un aumento en la autoconfianza al hablar, una reducción de la ansiedad y una mayor disposición para comunicarse. Se concluye que la gamificación influyó positivamente tanto en el desempeño oral como en los aspectos afectivos, destacando su potencial como estrategia didáctica efectiva para mejorar la fluidez oral en estudiantes avanzados de EFL.Descargas
