Fortalecimiento de los valores éticos en la Carrera de Enfermería

Resumen

Durante los últimos años, se ha empleado el Código de Ética del Ministerio de Salud Pública teniendo en cuenta los valores de los ecuatorianos. Sin embargo, muchos educadores de enfermería y clínicos no están familiarizados con este código de ética. Esto ha creado una brecha de conocimiento entre las enfermeras y los educadores de enfermería sobre los valores existentes y los principios éticos que rigen la profesión de enfermería que pueden tener un impacto directo en el estándar de atención de enfermería en este país. La base teórica de la educación ética en enfermería se basa en principios éticos, formación de valores del individuo y patrones de conocimiento. La ética de la enfermería en la educación tiene una inmensa competencia con un currículum ya contenido (Aydt, 2015). Actualmente, los conceptos de ética y valores de enfermería están contenidos en asignaturas del plan de estudios de enfermería, que no es suficiente para que los estudiantes dominen los principios éticos de la profesión de enfermería.
